Built for Burns, Crawford & Wilson of Glasgow and first registered on 4th September 1860. Sold on to Whitelaw of Glasgow in 1863 and then to James Jeffrey, also of Glasgow in 1967. On 1st December 1869 she foundered off Bullwood, Dunoon, following a boiler explosion which killed her master and three crew. She had been carrying a cargo of coal from Bowling to Brodick Castle on the Isle of Arran.
