At 75 feet she was too long to sail down the Forth and
Clyde canal to the river and so, as was McGregor practice with
such vessels, her bow section was stowed in her hold for the
sail down to Bowling where it was riveted on at Scotts'
slipway by McGregor's own men.
Sold on to Welsh owners, E H Bennett
of Newport immediately after building and when the Bennett fleet was
dispersed shortly afterwards she left for the Caribbean in
the ownership of Booker McConnell of London.. It is believed
that for a while she was registered in Georgetown,
